getting ready...

Monday is CHA-summer and we are attending the show for the first time as She Scrapbooks!!! I have been attending these trade shows for ten years now and I have to say I am almost as excited as I was for the first one I attended. This will be were we place our first orders for She and we have a lot on our list to look at!!! So stay tuned to the She blog as I am going to try and post some videos from the show!!!
Tomorrow Bre and I are heading to the east coast so that she can stay with her Aunt Mindy while Stephanie, Nita, Kristy and I have some CHA fun. Thanks Mindy for taking care of my girl so I can focus on the business at hand. I am sure Bre will have lots of fun with her extended family. She has been looking forward to this for quite some time.
We return from CHA on Thursday and Friday morning I will be headed back out for my scrapbooking retreat. Thanks to my girl, all the kits have been kitted and everything is packed and ready to go. I think the girls are going to love the projects this time, I am really excited to reveal them Friday night.
So looks like a very busy week ahead, but the really good kind of busy. Hope everyone else has a great week and Melle can't wait to see your Tim Holtz class pictures.

Late Birthday...

Yesterday was my girls 14th Birthday. I cannot believe how the time seems to be slipping away one year at a time. It seems to be speeding up now and the years are getting shorter. But here we are. We had a quite little day at home with one of her friends along with Nita and the kids. Kenny grilled wings (ahh), they through a little football, we had cake and ice cream, then she finished off the day attending her youth group meeting. It was such a nice day and I am so very proud of the young woman she is growing into. August 8 we will have her "friend" party. We just couldn't squeeze that in to all the activities this week. I wanted to share a few pictures from the day and the new story board, which I learned how to do in Jessica's class last week. The story board template came from the House of 3.

learning...

Here is the before and the after, I love how I was able to make a vintage wash look. I am absolutely loving the photoshop class I am taking over at Jessica Sprague's. I have definitely reinforced and gained some knowledge. I learned how to adjust the color a new way and absolutely love how easy it it and the effect that I can get. I am hoping to find a class to take me to the next level, love the online classes as I can arrange it around my schedule instead of the other way around. It also helps to have videos that I can go back to and refresh my mind with the new techniques. Who else has taken the class? I will be signing up for more from Jessica, I think she is a fabulous teacher.

randomness...

Today is my sweet hubbies 49th!!! Happy Birthday baby!!!

Had a fun 4th at Nita's, very low key just watching the girls have a good time together. Thanks Nita, it was nice to just enjoy a little time and not have to run around everywhere or fight traffic.
Hope everyone had a great and safe 4th.

Stephanie, Nita, Bre and I yudu'd are little hearts out Friday and Saturday. We got our CHA shirts ready to go and a few other little things. Loving the yudu, totally inspiring and fun!!!

Still been cleaning and purging and getting the house organized. Tomorrows project, the Florida room. Then a yard sale this weekend. Whatever doesn't sell will be going to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, I wonder if they will come pick it up???

Getting the last minute details of the retreat taken care of. Projects designed, instructions done,
supply list posted, tentative schedule announced, working on kitting this week and next.

Getting very excited about CHA, can't wait to go and start ordering for She Scrapbooks!!!

Basically loving life and really feeling grateful for all my blessings!!!
