I had the scrapbook retreat this weekend. The women I have gotten to know through doing these events have really touched my life. Each and every one of these women are special to me. I love the commonality we have being women, moms, daughters, scrapbookers, the keepers of memories. It is such an important job (and a totally fun one too). Getting ready for each retreat I like to come up with some kind of theme, this retreats was "the time is now." I had know idea at the time how totally appropriate it would be. THE TIME IS NOW, which leads me to my exciting news...my dear friend, one of my BFF's Stephanie and I have talked about opening a scrapbook store for a few years now. Well she woke up one morning and decided "the time is now"!!!!!!! We are happy to announce we will be opening "She Scrapbooks" in The Villages. Our grand opening will be October 1 of this year. We are hoping to have a soft opening before that. We will have more information available very soon, but I wanted to share this here, as we shared this information at the retreat this weekend. Look at the cute little invitation Stephanie made!!! We are both very excited and thrilled!!!

News to share...
Hey everyone, the official email has gone out so now I can talk about it on my blog. Griffins is closing. I have been there almost 12 years and it is like a home to me, I feel like I have a second family within the walls of that store. I have been very blessed to have been apart of the Griffins family. When I started at the store Breanna was just 2 years old, now she is planning her high school future. I cannot believe how time just flies. I have learned a lot about the retail world and had many fabulous opportunities during my time at Griffins. I have made life long friends. I consider so many of my customers to be friends, friends I will miss seeing on a regular basis. I want each and everyone of you to know you are special to me and I am so glad I have had the chance to get to know you.
But---when one door closes another opens!!! Big announcements coming soon. Keep checking I should be able to talk about it withing the next couple of weeks. Exciting---that is all I can say right now.
I also have sadness in my life with our family crisis. My dear SIL is in a coma after suffering an aneurysm, we are hoping for a miracle, but I am a realist and I know where things are headed. She is the most precious bonus I got when I married Kenny. (that is something I teased her about) I am so saddened by this and am trying to be strong for my family. She is only 44 years old and has 3 very special boys. Boys I love as if they were my own. So just please keep my family in your thought and prayers.

Life...
Lots going on in my life right now. Sad things, that's why I haven't posted. I will be back and try and find my happy spot soon. Thought I'd try a new look to see if it can help. What do you think, do you like the yellow and blue? I am not sure if it's me yet. Oh, by the way the banner is from the awesome House of 3, I just tweaked the size a bit.
