beautiful wedding...

Went to my friend Paige's wedding yesterday. It was so beautiful, right on the beach at Honeymoon Island. Then we were off to an air conditioned reception. I have to say it went off smoothly. Everything just seemed to flow. I know Paige was a little tense at first, but what Bride isn't? After the I do part was over I could see relaxation come across her face. She was truly a beautiful Bride. I snapped quite a few pics for her, I had a couple of favorites so I thought I would share them with y'all. It was quite a long day yesterday. A three hour car trip each way. Didn't get home till almost 1:00am. Needless to say I have slept the day away, trying to recover from that and being sick.

Woke up yesterday morning feeling dizzy and nauseous. I think it is finally going away, I hope so anyway. Has not been fun.
I just updated the the retreat blog, just a little more hotel info.
Got Bre's report card today finally, she did so good. I wish I had been as on top of my game as she is. I think she is even more organized than me now. Honestly, I know she is. She has a plan and she is making her own strides towards those goals. I am so proud of her. I know I keep saying this, but I am amazed by her.

Just wanted to say a quick hello, hope everyone is having a good week. Me? Okay, nothing out of the ordinary. I did want to let those of you who read Bre's blog that she deleted it. Some weirdo left her a comment and it freaked her out. I am kind of glad this happened so she knows now why I want to protect her so much. Scary world out there. It really upset her. She is still rattled by it. Hopefully this was a learning experience she will not soon forget. I just hate it that there are such FREAKS in the world, but there are and we have to protect ourselves and watch out for each other. Bre said Hi and you can leave her a comment here if you would like to. She is thinking about starting an invitation only blog to stay in touch.

Lazy couple of days...

Do you ever have those times when you seem to get nothing done? That is exactly what the last two days have been for me. Other than the mundane daily chores such as dishes, laundry, vacuuming, picking up and stuff like that. I have gotten absolutely nothing accomplished on my ever growing list. I guess it is okay, I just feel like time has been wasted. Oh well, tomorrow starts a new week with new opportunities.
Got a call from Julie, little Colton has been admitted to the hospital. Keep him in your thoughts. They can't seem to find out what is wrong. He is spiking 103 fever and only keeping it under control with meds. They are still running tests. I will keep you posted.
Watched Camp Rock last night with Bre. Nita was over helping me get rid of the grey and watched it with us. Really cute movie. I know we will be watching for that one to come out on DVD. Bre is planning on watching it again tonight. I think it is doing one of those every night appearances for a few nights. LOL.
And a special thank you out to my bff-thanks for helping me out and getting rid of the grey. It was starting to make me feel old and frumpy. It is amazing what a little bit of color can do to make you feel so much better:)

Grateful...

Been feeling a little stressed lately so I thought I would try and think about what I am grateful for instead of driving myself crazy with negatives.

1. So grateful for my girl, she is definitely the sunshine in my life. She just has this way of brightening my day, even on the worst of them.

2. My friends, what would life be without friends? I think I have some pretty special and awesome ones. You know who you are so thanks for being part of my life.

3. My family, even though I don't get to see my mom very often, I do get to talk to her almost daily. Love my sister, even though I don't get to talk to her enough. I know she is there no matter what.

4. Our cute little Roxie, she just looks at me and I have to smile. As you can see by the picture she is definetely one of a kind:)

5. My bed, just nothing like being all snug in your own comfy bed:)

6. My scrapbook room. It is my happy place in the house. Silly I know, but it is totally me and I just love being in it.

7. A huge glass of ice water. Love cold, cold, cold water.

8. My camera, I love being able to tune the world out and just go shoot some pics.

9. My husband, even though he drives me COMPLETELY INSANE at times.

10. And most of all God, who I know is watching over us.

scrapbooking goodness...

Yesterday was such a great day. We (Bre and I ) had lunch with the girls, Jodie and Shelbie came with Julie, and Jodie was sweet enough to bring baby Colton. He is such a sweet little boy, and I got to hold him and feed him. Loved that.
Then we were off to scrapbook. We had a full crew--Me and Bre, Nita, Stephanie, Kristy, Julie and Gay. We also had our friend Kim stop by and see what we were up to. It was really good to see her. I think she might try and meet up with us now. The once a month thing seems to be working out good. I just wish we could meet a little more often. But then it wouldn't be as special, right. I only got two pages done, but I am really happy with them. I will try and post pics later.
Nita and the kids just pulled up so gotta go, we are off to Gainesville to see what trouble we can find there:) More update later:)

catch up

Haven't been up to much lately. Just working and cleaning, trying to get the house in order. I have set some goals, for the house I am going to get the base boards painted, the kitchen cabinets painted, the laundry room cleaned and organized with some new shelving put up. Now for the scrapping fun I am going to get my big collage frame done for the living room, and get my books put into order. They aren't too bad yet, but if I don't go back now and get them into order I probably never will. They just need to be moved out of the pages done into their perspective books. I would also like to get my scrap room a little more organized but we will see. Summer is going to productive for me, I love to check things off the list. A little goofy huh.
Got to see one of my BFs today. She is down visiting from Indiana. Time goes so so fast, but it was nice to get to see her for a little bit and do some catching up. Bre was her flower girl in her wedding about 8 or 9 years ago. She couldn't believe how she has grown up and Her husband didn't even recognize Bre. Funny. Hopefully it will not be so long before the next visit.
Looking forward to Friday. I don't think it's gonna get here soon enough. I need some girl time.
I can't wait to get together with the girls. I think lunch will be a laughing so hard your stomach hurts thing. That will be so good and so needed.

Well, had the yard sale yesterday. I am so glad that is over, and that was the LAST time I will be doing one for a very very long time if ever again! The good news is the Florida room is almost cleaned off and we can actually use it as a game room now. Bre will love that. I just have to get DH to go through his "treasures" and purge some stuff and get the rest in bins and put in one of his two sheds. That will be the hardest part to get done. lol.
Also did alot in the house yesterday, I have a huge box for everyone to go through on Friday before the crop to see if they might want any supplies being passed on. I also have a box for the foster girls I worked with, so they will be able to scrap whenever they can where they live in the group home. If anyone has old stuff and would like to donate to them, just leave me a comment and I will get in touch.
And for the most exciting news of all...I am going to Creative Escape. I still am pinching myself. I cannot believe it. They have been sold out for months. I guess they had a few cancellations, Someone who I know called me and asked if I would like to go, she was picked in the lottery drawing and could bring one person with her. I still cannot believe she called me, so anyway we are headed to Arizona in September. Funny thing is it is the weekend before I do my retreat. Two weekends in a row of scrappin good times. Yeah, looking forward to September.

started the calls...

Yes, I started the calls today to see who's up for a little get-a-way weekend. The retreat has been scheduled, the hotel is ready (new hotel), so September 12-14 here we come. I am so excited to be doing another retreat, to spend another weekend with friends scrapping the night away. I will be doing several make and take projects. We will have food, fun and prizes. If your interested give us a call. We only have 30 spots, so now is the time. Now I have to think about a theme (and I'm pretty sure it will include pink somewhere;).

June???

I can't believe it's June. It seems this year is flying by. Summer starts officially Thursday afternoon for Bre, and she has mixed feelings about it. Glad for the break but realizing she is going to miss seeing her friends on a daily basis.

Thinking about having a yard sale this weekend, should I---shouldn't I, I think if I decide to someone should just shoot me now. I know this one will be the last. I hate doing them, but the florida room needs to be cleaned. It has turned into quite the JUNK room and Bre wants to have her Bday party there in July. She is going to be 13. Where did my baby go???? I so do not want her to grow up. I enjoy being a mom and spending time with her. I know it's gonna happen, just wish I could slow it down a bit. Sorry for the rambling. Not much else going on. I'm gonna leave you with a picture from last week when Nita and I took the kids out.
