randomness...

Today is my sweet hubbies 49th!!! Happy Birthday baby!!!

Had a fun 4th at Nita's, very low key just watching the girls have a good time together. Thanks Nita, it was nice to just enjoy a little time and not have to run around everywhere or fight traffic.
Hope everyone had a great and safe 4th.

Stephanie, Nita, Bre and I yudu'd are little hearts out Friday and Saturday. We got our CHA shirts ready to go and a few other little things. Loving the yudu, totally inspiring and fun!!!

Still been cleaning and purging and getting the house organized. Tomorrows project, the Florida room. Then a yard sale this weekend. Whatever doesn't sell will be going to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, I wonder if they will come pick it up???

Getting the last minute details of the retreat taken care of. Projects designed, instructions done,
supply list posted, tentative schedule announced, working on kitting this week and next.

Getting very excited about CHA, can't wait to go and start ordering for She Scrapbooks!!!

Basically loving life and really feeling grateful for all my blessings!!!

new organization...

My computer area, love the fact that now it is stationed where I can open the blinds and see Bre if she is in the yard or just enjoy the outside from the inside. It is just so hot outside right now.
This week we purged and organized my scraproom. It feels so good to have a nice clean organized are once again. My desk has all the things I reach for on a regular basis and has things within my sight so I don't forget about it. I absolutely love it.
This are stores my collection of antique cameras and pictures of Bre and just odds and ends that I like to have on display. DH got these bookcases for me which is what led to the reorganization. Love them and the fact that I can SEE what I am looking for.
This is the corner by my desk, it has my collection of ever growing Y's and things that make me happy.
Hope you enjoy, I might try and post a little video tour later on today!!! We will see.

The house is clean, the trim is painted, scraproom organized. I'd say I am off to a great check of the to do list summer. Now I just have to face the monstrous Florida room. That is going to be the challenge. I was going to have a yard sale this weekend, but with being the 4th of July, I have postponed it to the next weekend. That gives me time to get this room taken care of like it need to be. Next on the list will be the laundry room. No, the dryer is still not repaired, wondering why I paid for a 4 year warranty at this point, hopefully this week the parts will be in and it will be fixed. Never really realized how much I depend on simple house hold appliances.
Anyway this is what we have been up to for the last week and I am absolutely loving my house again and feeling good about our accomplishments.

some summer fun...

We all know I have some new found time on my hands this summer!!!
While surfing the Internet and checking in on favorite sites I found this...Hurry now if your interested because registration ends June 28. I have taken classes from Jessica Sprague before and she has never disappointed. I have been playing with photoshop and trying to become more proficient at it for awhile now, but I thought even if I know how to do some of the things, it wouldn't hurt to reinforce knowledge or maybe learn a simpler way to do things. And a total bonus is that the House of 3 is involved. Love that!!! Go now and sign up!!!

A day of thought...

I saw this on Elizabeth's blog and liked how it made me think...who else wants to play???

When I was a child... I loved to play with paper and doodle, I also liked to be in a tree daydreaming.

I can't imagine my life without... being happy, and my Bre.

If I could be anywhere, I'd be... sitting by the ocean listening to the waves.

My least favorite chore is... cleaning the bathrooms.

If I could be on any tv game or reality show, it would be...dancing with the stars, love the ballroom dancing.

If a mystery package arrived on my doorstep, I'd hope it would be... scrapbook goodies.

My guilty pleasure is... pasta and ice cream, but not together.

I thought I would never...have the opportunity that has come my way with She Scrapbooks.

If a genie granted me three wishes, I’d wish for... one more day with my grandpa, that worries didn't exist and I could go back to my teens and know what I know now.

You would never guess it, but I...won a women's pool tournament.

As I was sitting in my office surfing the Internet I kept coming across things that made my stop and think about all kinds of things, all in all I am very grateful of where I am in my life today. I love the possibilities of where my path is heading. It took a long time to get here but I think I am finally coming to that place I have heard others talk about. I have heard it said that when you get to your forties, you have a sense of inner peace, sure there are things that I regret and wish I could change, but I realize that all those things have brought me to where I am. Everything that has happened in my life has brought me to today and I wouldn't give that up for anything. Here is to the future!!!

Right now I am so looking forward to this new venture with Stephanie. I am so excited about "SHE SCRAPBOOKS" I find it hard to sleep sometimes. I know this is going to be good. I know this is going to be big. I know this is going to be the next chapter of my life and I can't wait for it to be written.

June 1...

Can you believe it??? I can't. This year just seems to be full speed ahead.

School is out Wednesday for the summer, hard to believe, Bre will be going to high school in the fall. Where did the time go???

We received official word today that June 20th will be Griffins final day. This too is hard to believe as I have spent 12 years of my life working at this store.

We are on track with She Scrapbooks and very excited. I am looking so forward to this new adventure, and it will be here before we know it. Looks like some time in September we will be doing a soft opening. October will be the big grand opening if everything stays on schedule.

Watched the movie awards last night and Twilight won...Best Kiss, Best Fight, Breakout for best male and female actors, and BEST movie!!! New Moon official trailer also debuted. All in all it was a great night for the Twilight franchise.

This week I have been designing up the projects for the retreat. Just a few little details to finish up and that will be one more thing to mark of my lists into the done category. Feels good to do that. I have to say it gives me a sense of accomplishment each time something gets checked off. I think I am going to stick with the list thing for a while, it seems to help keep me on track;)

And last but not least, I finally decorated my "A week in my life" album. I was fortunate enough to be able to take this class at CKU before Ali retired it. So since it only took two years to get this done I thought I would share a picture. lol.

busy, busy...

First things first, here is another little teaser for New Moon. Getting excited, I'm just sayin'!!!

Griffins is winding down, we probable have about 3 weeks left and it will be big part of my past. The scrapbooking department is just about wiped out, very picked over now.

"She Scrapbooks"
is coming together quite smoothly. It just reinforces the fact that "Now is the time" and we are headed in the right direction. I have been getting a ton of emails asking to be put on our email list, so happy about that. Also been getting a lot of phone calls about very excited scrappers who cannot wait for us to open and that means so much. It's so nice to know that y'all are just as excited as Stephanie and I are!!!

School gets out June 3rd and that is rapidly approaching. Bre and I are going to finish up at Griffins and then chill out and enjoy the rest of the summer.

I do have a July retreat planned and that has already sold out-thanks girlies-I really appreciate all of your support and love each and every one of you. Planning the projects for that right now, all I will say is lovin' Heidi Swapp product!!! But all of you already know that so I'm sure it is no surprise.

Right before the retreat is CHA-Summer, so excited for it this year. I have been going to trade shows for ten years now and I think I am almost as excited for this one as I was for my first one. Can't wait to get the orders started for "She Scrapbooks!"

It rained for a solid week and I think we have more on the way. I wonder if it is ever going to be sunshiney again??? I love the rain, but even I am getting a little tired of it now. Hope everyone has a safe week.

tonight...

Dancing with the Stars final is tonight, this is the couple I hope wins. Cheryl and Gilles. They are amazing and Gilles...well all I can say is...he definitely knows how to work it. I really like to other two couples as well, but when these two dance you just get lost in it. Who else is watching?
edited: I cannot believe they didn't win, I am a little miffed at the outcome. Shawn and Mark are good, but I thought Gilles and Cheryl just swept us away when they danced. Still love the show though. Just not quite understanding how they didn't win!!!

random post...

Life seems to be speeding along and blogging has taken a back seat lately, but i hope to start doing better with it starting now.
We have had so much going on and life changes, I just felt like I needed to catch my breath.

Griffins is winding down, it seems so odd, I have spent 12 years of my life in that building, working, making friendships, being a part of something. It is so surreal to me that come the middle of June it will be gone, and it will just be a empty building.

As Griffins is winding down, I am finding myself very excited (almost to the point I cannot stand it)
about the future. I am totally immersed in thoughts of "She Scrapbooks", sometimes it is all I can think about. I cannot wait for this new chapter of life to have it's time. I know this is going to be good, just one of those feelings when you know. That is what "She Scrapbooks" is for me.
Stephanie and I have been talking lots on the phone in the last couple of days, and she is feeling the same way, almost consumed with the thoughts at times. We are both on the countdown and EXCITED.

Yesterday I decided to play around in photoshop and try to figure a few things out. I spent hours just playing around, reading tutorials, and creating this and that. The new banner is one of those things, what do you think??? It might stay up for a little while, but I think with this new found joy of photoshop it will be different soon.

I also want to send a shout out to Kim, Congratulations, we are so proud of you and happy for you. A official Law school Graduate. Wow.

I will be back soon, I have a few things I have been working on and want to share, just need to finish them up.
